I  was raised in Hamilton, Montana, a beautiful small town in Western  Montana surrounded by the mountains. Eager to join my family's business,  my first job (at age 6) was dusting the bookshelves at my dad's Main  Street law firm.

I earned my B.A. from Montana State  University in Bozeman, Montana graduating with highest honors in 1988  and I earned my J.D. from the University of Montana in Missoula in  1992.  After law school, I clerked for District Court Judge Russell  Fillner in Billings and then worked as an associate at Smith Walsh in  Great Falls.

In  1995, I moved to Eagan, Minnesota to pursue a career with Thomson  Reuters.  During my ten years at Thomson, I worked three years in Eagan  and six years in the Portland, Oregon/Seattle, Washington  offices training attorneys, judges, law students and paralegals how to  use Westlaw.

In  2004, I returned to Eagan with my family. Back in Eagan, I did contract  legal work for Thomson Reuters and other large Minnesota law firms such  as Faegre Baker Daniels and Dorsey and Whitney.

In 2010, I opened my own family law  practice and combined my large law firm experiences with my Main Street  values.  I am committed to helping the little guy, or gal, receive their  fair day in court without draining their financial assets.

I  spend my spare time volunteering at St. John Neumann Parish, Eastview  High School, and Legal Assistance of Dakota County.   I am also a member  of the Minnesota Women Lawyers, Ramsey and Dakota Bar Association,  Minnesota and Montana Bar Association, and the events chair for  Valleywood ladies golf league.
